I would firstly wish to reiterate my thanks for the honor you have given me by assigning me to this prestigious role.
The next year is a great challenge for me.
One of my propositions is to use the time of my mandate to stimulate the active participation of all of SOSORT's members in the work of the society as a whole. This means that we will not be limiting the discussion on decisions such as the locations of our future meetings or the collection of your ideas for the drafting of our consensus guidelines, but to start gathering suggestions from you all throughout the year.
I have already publicly stated what are the most important goals I set for myself.
Among them, a goal which seems to me to be the easiest to pursue, but also that I consider is our own ethical duty for our patients,as well as a mandatory point to stimulate interest for the professionals who want to get closer to our society is the improved clarity of our treatment tools.
I would like the involvement of all to start the comparison of these tools and determine if there is a chance to identify the strongest points in each of them.
Obviously, considering my profession I will be more focused on specific exercises but I assure you that my attention will not only be on the exercises but also share focus on the braces.
Those who know me well already know my dream is to stimulate the research for cheaper and more simplistic orthoses for use even in countries where, in future, we will be unable to access for many years.
